I speak to a support worker who works with victims of intimate partner violence.

My experience:

By talking to a specialized support worker, I no longer feel alone with my shame. The support worker helps me put words to the trauma I have experienced and suggests strategies to help me regain a feeling of safety and control.

Explanation:

A support worker can also provide victims with information about potential next steps, like filing a police report. Sharing intimate photos without consent is a criminal offence. It is important not to minimize this type of transgression: reporting is a way to protect yourself, while also protecting others from experiencing the same thing. With support, it is possible to rebuild yourself and break your silence.
