My experience:

I can see that my daughter needs help, so I call the speech-language pathologist and take the first available appointment. My daughter starts sessions there and tells me that she likes it. But two weeks later, I receive a registered letter. My ex-partner has filed a claim against me for “failure to respect parental authority.”

Explanation:

This type of reaction is a good example of institutionalized post-separation violence, where the father is using the legal system to assert his control and put pressure on the mother. This exposes victims to legal consequences, especially for those who are already in a vulnerable situation (disability, isolation, precarity).
